About 1st Defense Roofing
After serving in local law enforcement in Gwinnett County, Georgia, Mark Ferrell started his career in the roofing industry after moving to Raleigh, NC, working with a roofing company that provided local roofing services.
Mark discovered that he could use his experience from the police force to protect and serve his local community as a roofing contractor. In early 2021, he saw a way to continue wearing a form of police badge by creating 1st Defense Roofing.
To "protect and serve" is still in Mark's blood, and 1st Defense Roofing is his way of giving back and protecting the home and business owners he gets to serve.
Our Mission: Keeping You Safe
Mark wants to use his experience from law enforcement to keep people safe in their homes and commercial buildings by offering free roofing inspections to check the roof's structural integrity.
He and his family are excited for the next chapter in their journey with the start of 1st Defense Roofing. Mark is a self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting guns, and playing sports.
His wife is a former physical therapist assistant who also loves playing sports. Their daughter, Everly, keeps them on their toes. You can catch her anywhere you can find a dog, pool, or ice cream!
